Photographic Story (FSA)

This picture shows that someone has died. A lot of people are coming to the grave to mourn. It looks like a lot of people are sad and crying. There is a American flag next to the grave so the person that dies might have been in the army. In the picture you can also see that a lot of people are there so the person was obviously very loved and respected.

In this picture one the sides of the photo I can see a bunch of thread so you can tell that it was a factory. I can also see that there is a woman sitting in between the rows of thread so she more than likely worked at the factory. I can also see that there is something that looks like machinery underneath where she is standing and more than likely is a sewing machine. This photo shows that a woman was working in a factory where they made clothes and other items.

In this picture I see that there is a kid that looks like he is in a house of some sort. His clothes look sort of dirty so he might be a slave or something. He looks sad or angry so he might not like what he is doing or what people are making him do. This is a very emotional picture that really makes me want to know the full story because I only know bits and pieces.

6 Thematic Photos

Inline image 2 The theme in this picture is pattern and filling the frame. In this picture all the lines going in two directions making squares in the middle it makes a pattern. In this picture the subject is taking up the entire frame of the photo so it is filling the frame. When I edited this photo I added some contrast and brightness.

Inline image 6 The theme in this picture is rule of thirds. In this picture the plant is in one third of the photo so is following the rule of thirds. When I edited this picture I made deceased the brightness because the water glared too much.

Inline image 3 The theme in this photo is composition. In this photo the main subject is placed directly in the center of the photo so it is using composition. When I edited this photo in increased the contrast, brightness, and the saturation.

Inline image 8 The theme in this photo is lines. In this photo all the boats are going the same direction which makes the photo have lines. When I edited this photo I increased the brightness and the contrast.

Inline image 4 The theme in this photo is also lines and filling the frame. In this photo you can see the bars of the bench all going one direction so it creates lines in the photo. In this photo the main subject is taking up the entire frame so it is filling the frame. When I edited this photo in increased the contrast.

Inline image 1 The theme in this picture is filling the frame and lines. In this picture the wood is going one direction so it is creating lines in the photo. In this picture the wood is in the entire frame of the photo so it is filling the frame. When I edited this photo decreased the saturation to make it black and white and I increased the contrast and brightness.

Assignment 1

This photo is an example of a picture where the photographer uses straight lines. Straight lines make your eyes wander and really make you take a closer look at the photograph.

This photo is an example of a picture where the photographer uses curved lines. Just like straight lines curved lines also make your eyes wander and make you take a closer look at the photo. Lines are a common tool that photographers uses to make their photos interesting.

Portraits

Inline image 2  This is one of my favorite pictures because I felt that her expression was very similar to the original photo. I also really like how she doesn't look happy or sad but she still has an expression on her face it isn't just a blank stare. The process of taking this photo was I had to find a wall that was all one color. Then I had to make sure Kayla was facing the right direction and also make sure that her hands were in the same position as in the picture. Once I edited it I had to make the picture black and white and then I had to color the wall in the back a grayish blue. I also had to make sure that it had enough contrast so the photo didn't look too edited.

Inline image 1 This is another one of my favorite photos because even though the picture is in black and white I really like the color. I also really like how she is positioned and how she isn't looking into the camera. The process of taking the photo was I had to find stairs and make sure that Kayla was positioned just like the girl was in the original photo. When I edited I had to make the photo black and white and I also had to adjust the blacks, contrast, and the brightness.

Inline image 3 This is another one of my favorite photos because even though it is a simple photo there is still so much to look at. I also really like how he isn't looking directly at the camera and I also like how he looks sort of mad. The process of taking this photo was I had to find a darkish colored floor and a place where I could be looking down at him because in the original picture it was taken looking down. I also had to make sure that he looked just like the boy in the original photo with the way he was positioned and his facial expression. When i Edited this photo I had to darken the floor a little bit I also had to make his jacket blue. I also had to increase the contrast and the brightness.
